Tioga Lake Overview
Tioga Lake campground has 12 (first-come, first-sertve) campsites next to Tioga Lake and is located in a beautiful alpine basin at 9,700 feet in elevation. It is also located just 2 miles from the East Entrance of Yosemite National Park.
Campsites are on the small side and can accommodate tents and small trailers/RVs. All campsites have lake views, with about half on the lakefront. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, fire pit and grate. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.
The scenery is spectacular and offers many photo opportunities. You can also enjoy hiking, fishing, biking, backpacking, climbing, stargazing and plenty of wildlife viewing.
Other nice campgrounds in the area include Moraine, Aspen (Aspen Grove), Big Bend, Ellery Lake Campground, Junction and Saddlebag Lake.
