Tree of Heaven Campground has 22 single-family campsites and is next to the Wild & Scenic Klamath River.  The campground is usually open mid May to mid October.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (24 to 32 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. There’s also a boat ramp at the campground and a day-use/picnic area is nearby.  Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Sarah Totten (20 miles) and Hyatt Lake Recreation Area (25 miles).

Area Recreation & Activities

Popular outdoor recreation in the area includes rafting (Class II-III), kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseshoes, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

In the 1800s, Chinese immigrants lived and farmed on this stretch of flat land along the Klamath River. They sold vegetables to the miners and worked in the local mines. They imported a homeland tree called the Tree of Heaven to remind them of their native land.
