Yellowjacket Campground has 40 campsites and is located next to Union Valley Reservoir in Eldorado National Forest.

About half the campsites are suitable for tents and the other half for tents, trailers and RVs. Parking spurs are paved and range from 25 to 50 feet. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill. Amenities include piped drinking water, vault/flush toilets, firewood ($ from camp host) and trash collection. There is also a boat ramp next to the campground and overflow parking is available. There are no hookups or cell service. The maximum stay is 14 days. Check-out time is 1pm and check-in is 1pm.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. A paved bike/hiking path also runs through the campground and around the lake.

Other campgrounds in the area include Wench Creek, West Point, Camino Cove, Sunset, Smud, Azalea Cove, Jones Fork, Fashoda and Wolf Creek.
