Bogan Flats Overview

Bogan Flats Campground is located next to the Crystal River and has 35 large single-family campsites and 1 group site (up to 50 people). Several campsites are right along the river’s edge.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (20 to 55 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water (faucets), vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is not available. The nearest dump station is in Glenwood Springs (35 miles northwest).

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. You can also check out ruins of the old marble mill over in the nearby town of Marble. A quarry is still operating there and produces some of the finest marble in the world (used at the Lincoln Memorial, Tomb of the Unknown Solider, etc.).

Other campgrounds in the area include Redstone, Avalanche and Lynx Pass.
