Chalk Lake Overview
Chalk Lake Campground has 18 single-family campsites and is located next to Chalk Creek and a short walk to the lake. It is also a few miles from a private hot springs resort.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Sites are generally large and parking areas range from 20 to 50 feet, but most are in the 25-35 foot range. Up to 8 people, 2 tents and 2 vehicles (or 1 recreation vehicle) are allowed per site. Campsites 4-9 and 14 are “walk-to” and are first come, first serve. All other sites are reservable.
Campground amenities include potable (drinking water) from hand pump and vault toilets (2). Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host.
Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, backpacking, OHVing, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Cascade, Mount Princeton and Iron City.
