Mancos State Park Comments & Reviews
Visited Mancos State Park Campground lately? We'd love to hear about your adventure. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Mancos State Park?
Have not been as of yet but want to take my granddaughter for weak-end camping for her birthday & would like to know what a “YURT” is?
Hi Sidney,
There are two campsites with Yurts at Mancos State Park. A Yurt is a round tent with a wooden frame and wood floor. It also has a door, skylights and windows. They can sleep up to 6 people, have electric outlets and a ceiling lights, one pair of twin-sized bunks, a double-sized futon and queen-size futon. You’ll need to bring your own linens/bedding. They do not have water or bathrooms. Propane gas heaters are available for rent at the park. Here’s a picture of a yurt at campsite #24:
No photos of the west side campground?
Not yet, but I will try and get a photographer to photograph the west side later this year.
