Meadows Group Overview

Meadows Group Campground is located in a beautiful alpine meadow at an elevation of 7,400 feet in the Buffalo Creek Recreation Area.

There are two group campsites and each can have up to 150 people and 25 vehicles. The campsites are for tent camping but RVs can park in the parking area. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Cell service is not available in the area.

Single family campsites are available at nearby Buffalo (Creek) Campground, which is 1 mile away.

Area Recreation and Activities

The Buffalo Creek Recreation Area is home to a 40-mile trail system most popular with mountain bikers, but hikers and horseback riders enjoy the area as well. Several trailheads are within walking distance of the campground. Other recreation includes fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
