Mountain Park Campground is located along the Cache La Poudre River and has 54 campsites (1-32 with electric hookups).  The campground is set in an area with dense forest to open meadow and is surrounded by steep mountains. Some campsites are ‘double’ sites.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (30 to 45 feet). Campsites 1-32 have electric hookups and are reservable. Sites 33-54 do not have hookups and are first-come, first-serve.. Each site also has a table, bear box (food storage locker), fire ring and grill.  Most sites also have tent pads. Campground amenities include drinking water, showers ($), vault toilets and trash collection. There’s also a playground, 2 volleyball courts and horseshoe pits. Firewood is available for sale from the camp host.  RV (water) tank fill up is not permitted at the campground. Cell service is not available.

Other campgrounds nearby include Ansel Watrous, Narrows, Stove Prairie and Jacks Gulch.

Mountain Park – Area Recreation & Activities

The area is a popular location for whitewater rafting/kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  It is about 40 miles northwest of Fort Collins, CO.
