Sunshine Overview

Sunshine Campground has 18 campsites (first-come, first-serve) located in a dense aspen forest with many sites having spectacular views of Mt. Wilson (14,256′). A small mountain pond/lake is also nearby.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 35 feet).  Sites 6 and 7 are walk-to / tent-only. Each site also has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grill.  Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.

Other campgrounds in the area include Silver Jack, Mary E, Matterhorn, Cayton and Priest Lake.

Sunshine Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Campers can also check out the many shops, restaurants and attractions of nearby Telluride, CO.
