Blowout Overview

Blowout Campground View

Blowout Campground has 16 campsites and is located on a hill above Palisades Reservoir about 58 miles southeast of Idaho Falls. Aspens and lodgepole pines provide some partial shade to most campsites.

All campsites are first-come, first-serve. There are 11 single family sites and 4 double sites. Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.

Blowout – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Palisades Reservoir also offers a variety of water sports including water skiing, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. A boat ramp is also located down the hill from the campground.

You may also like Alpine North LoopBig Elk and Riverside Park campgrounds.
