Knife Edge Overview

Knife Edge Campground has 5 (free) first-come first-serve campsites and is located along the beautiful Lochsa River in north central Idaho. Camping is also free at this campground.

The campground is open year round (weather permitting). Amenities include a vault toilet and trash collection (April through October). Potable (drinking) water is not available. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur (up to 40 feet), table, fire ring and grill. Cell service is not available.

Other nearby campgrounds include Glade Creek (Group), Apgar, Johnson Bar (Group), Ohara and Wilderness Gateway.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes rafting, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
