Indiana Dunes State Park Overview

Indiana Dunes State Park Campground has 134 campsites with electric hookups and is located just 1/2 mile from Lake Michigan. There also 3 tent-only campsites and 3 youth group tent campsite are also available.

The park consists of 2,182 acres of scenic landscape and 3 miles of beautiful beach along Lake Michigan’s southern shore. Large sand dunes also tower nearly 200 feet above the lake and provide a wide range of habitats.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, trash collection and a dump station. There is also a camp store, playground and miles of mixed-use trails. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 55 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring an grill.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation at the park includes hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, swimming, fishing, sand-sledding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Cross country skiing is also popular in the winter.
