Sam Houston Jones State Park Campground has 30 reservable single-family (mixed-used) campsites situated next to tree-filled lagoons. There are 30 sites premium (pull through) sites with full hookups, 10 cabins deluxe cabin and 1 deluxe lodge available to rent.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers ($) and an RV dump station. Campfire wood is also available for sale from the camp host. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Sam Houston Jones State Park Cabins & Lodge

Each of the 10 deluxe cabins at San Houston Jones State Park sleeps up to 8 people with 1 queen bed, 2 bunk beds and 1 sofa sleeper. The deluxe lodge sleeps up to 14 people with 2 queen beds, a queen sofa sleeper and 4 bunk beds.

Sam Houston Jones State Park encompasses 1,087 acres with an abundance of wildlife. In fact, the bird watching is always excellent. Nearly 200 species of birds can be seen at or within 30 miles of the site. The numerous waterways in this area provide a variety of water sport recreation including boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing.  Two boat launches are conveniently located on the West Fork of the Calcasieu River, providing access to the Gulf of Mexico, only a few miles away. There are also 3 hiking trails that wind through the park.

Lake Fausee Pointe State Park is another option. It’s about 126 miles to the east and has 50 campsites.

    Are the cabin’s open and what are prices and availabilities. Love the park

      You can click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability, pricing and make reservations. I did a quick check and it looks like the cabins are pretty much sold out through the summer. You can also use our Campsite Assist tool to get availabilty alerts if/when a cabin becomes available through a cancellation.

      Each of the 10 cabins at San Houston Jones State Park sleeps up to 8 people with 1 queen bed, 2 bunk beds and 1 sofa sleeper.
      The “Deluxe Lodge” sleeps up to 14 people with 2 queen beds, a queen sofa sleeper and 4 bunk beds.
