Ostego Lake State Park Overview

Ostego Lake State Park Campground has 155 campsites and is located next to Ostego Lake just south of Gaylord, MI.  The park also has one mini-cabin to rent.

The campground is divided into two loops (north and south) and most campsites are large and shaded. Sites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  Each site also has electric hookups (20/30 amp), a table, fire ring and grill.

The campground is also open year round. Amenities include modern restrooms (flush toilets and hot-water showers), and RV dump station, drinking water (spigots) and trash collection. The park also has a camp store, swimming beach, boat ramp, boat trailer parking, fishing pier and a picnic area (with a playground). Cell service is fair.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Pickerel Lake (Ostego) and Pickerel Lake (Kalkaska).

Ostego Lake State Park Overview

Ostego Lake State Park is located right next to the lake with a beautiful half-mile sandy beach and a modern campground with 151 campsites in a wooded area. A mini-cabin is also available to rent.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has electric hookups, a table, fire ring and grill.  Most are large with nice space between neighboring campsites. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets, bathhouse, trash collection and an RV dump station. The park also has a park store, day use parking / picnic area, fishing pier, boat launch/ramp, overflow parking and a playground. Paddle boat rentals are also available. Cell service is good in the area.
