Sandy Lake campground is located right on the shores of Big Sandy Lake and has 57 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Eight of the sites are tent only. There are also 2 group sites available with electrical hookups. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Five of the sites are double sites.

The campground has drinking water, flush & vault toilets, hot showers ($) and a dump station. There are also badminton and basketball courts, a boat ramp, beach, horseshoe pit, laundry, picnic area and shelters, volleyball courts, playground, museum and a visitor center.

There’s a wide variety of outdoor activities to enjoy including boating, water sports, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing.

Jay Cooke State Park is another nice option. The campground has 83 campsites and is about 57 miles away from Sandy Lake campground. You might also like Schoolcraft State Park.
