Apgar Group Sites Overview

Apgar Group Sites E001

Apgar Group Sites (E-Loop) has 10 group campsites that are located on the southern tip of beautiful Lake McDonald. The sites can accommodate from 9 to 24 people each. Tents, trailers and RVs are also allowed. Parking areas are large and can accommodate several cars and large trailers/RVs.

Each site has tables, fire pits/rings and food storage lockers. Drinking water and flush toilets are also available. Hookups are not available. Cell services is not available in the area.

Apgar Campground also has an RV disposal station, hot-water showers ($). Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. It is also near Apgar Village, where you will find a visitor center, gift shops, a camp store and a casual restaurant.

Area Recreation & Activities

Evening sunsets on Lake McDonald are only a short stroll from the campground, and you won’t want to miss evening programs at the amphitheater with a ranger. Horseback ride reservations, boat rentals, a shuttle service, and Red Bus tour reservations are also located in the Apgar Village. Other outdoor recreation includes hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and wildlife viewing.

You may also like Lost Johnny Point or Fish Creek campgrounds.
