Medoc Mountain State Park Overview

Medoc Mountain State Park has 34 spacious single-family campsites, 4 primitive equestrian sites and 4 group campsites. There are 12 sites with electric hookups. Single family campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (from 5o to 90 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate.

The Park encompasses 2,300 acres and is in eastern North Carolina near Hollister. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There’s also miles of mixed-use trails throughout the park.

Medoc Mountain State Park – Area Recreation

Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor recreation activities including fishing, paddling, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice here.

    Medoc Mountain State Park, located in beautiful Halifax County, NC, offers not only fantastic camping options but also family activities as well with fishing, hiking, bridle trails, and regular educational programs. Within 30 minutes of the park are many things to do like Sylvan Heights Bird Park, the Roanoke Canal Museum & Trail, Historic Halifax, Lakeland Theatre Company, Riverside Mill, the Roanoke River, Lake Gaston, Roanoke Rapids Lake, the Royal Palace Theatre and so much more!     Your cleaning around the fire tower looks very good so happy you all clean around their now the visitor can view the area much better an enjoy thanks so very much

    Not far off I-95, this park is a great alternative to crowded commercial RV parks. Quiet with lots of space and privacy. I was happy to support a state park while traveling up I-95 and will stay here again. Great camp hosts.
