Morrow Mountain State Park Overview

Morrow Mountain State Park Campground has 97 single-family campsites in a forested area and less than a mile from the Yadkin River. There are also 6 group campsites (up to 35 people per site) and 14 cabins (up to 6 people per cabin) and 4 backcountry/primitive sites available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Loop C has 22 campsites with electric hookups. All sites also have a table, BBQ pedestal, lantern post, fire ring and grill.  Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, laundry sink and trash collection.  The park also has overflow parking, a boat ramp, trailer lot, fishing pier, swimming pool, museum, amphitheater, and over 50 miles of mixed-use trails. Boat rentals and a concession stand are also available (seasonal).  Cell service is fair in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Arrowhead and Badin Lake.

Outdoor recreation at the park includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
