Monadnock State Park Overview

Monadnock State Park campground (Gilson Pond) has 40 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs and is open from mid May through late October. There are 4 campsites that have electrical hookups.  Group camping, as well as remote/primitive camping is also available.

The campground has drinking water, restrooms with flush toilets and showers, a playground and small camps store. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.

Monadnock State Park – Area Recreation

The park has 5,000 wooded acres and is a very popular for it’s spectacular scenery, hiking, climbing and other outdoor recreation. Mount Monadnock (at 3,165 feet) is a popular hiking destination at the park. Other outdoor recreation include biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Greenfield State Park is another wonderful Granite State campground and facility. It’s about 18 miles from Monadnock State Park. You may also be interested in Pillsbury State Park or Fort Dummer State Park.
