Leasburg Dam State Park Overview
Leasburg Dam State Park Campground has 24 developed campsites (some with electric hook-ups), with shelters, grills, fire pits, picnic tables. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, a playground, group picnic shelter, cactus garden and an RV dump station.
Leasburg Dam State Park features a 140-acre fishing lake straddling both sides of the Rio Grande near historic Fort Selden. The Park offers year-round camping, picnicking and bird watching, as well as fishing, canoeing and kayaking in the Rio Grande from mid-March to mid-October. Nearby Fort Selden State Monument has a museum and trails at the site of a 19th century army outpost.
Two other New Mexico State Parks in the area are Rockhound State Park and City of Rocks State Park.
