Pilar Campground New Mexico
Pilar Overview
Pilar Campground has 9 pull-through campsites with water & electric hookups and 3 (walk-to) tent sites. It is located across the highway from the Rio Grande River and offers year-round camping. All sites are first-come, first-serve.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 43 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The tent sites also have a covered/sheltered table area. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host.
Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor activities here include fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, tubing, swimming, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The beautiful mountain town of Taos is about an hours drive from the campground.
Other campgrounds in the area include Rio Bravo and Arroyo Hondo.
