Rockhound State Park campground has 30 large campsites (23 electric hookups) offering spectacular views of the desert. As the Park name suggests, this is a popular place for collecting rocks. There is an abundance of agates and quartz crystals, as well as other specimens. Visitors are allowed to take up to 15 mounds of rock for their collections.

Rockhound State Park campground has 23 sites with electric hookups, drinking water, an RV dump station, trash collection, vault toilets, flush toilets and restrooms with hot showers.  Group camping is also available. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate.

The Park also has a visitor center, gift shop, botanical garden, group picnic shelter, playground, hiking and mountain biking trails. The hiking trails offer climbs of varying degrees of difficulty and breathtaking views from the 7,000-foot peaks of the Florida Mountains.

City of Rocks State Park and Leasburg Dam State Park are also close by.
