Boulder Beach Group Campground Lake Mead National Recreation Area Nevada

Boulder Beach Group Overview

Boulder Beach Group Campground has 5 large group campsites (12 to 30 people) on a bluff about a mile from Lake Mead. All group sites have views of the lake. The campground is also just 33 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. So you got that going for you.

The group campground has a 12-person minimum/30-person maximum per site. Reservations are required and it is for tent camping only with limited vehicle parking. Single-family campsites (tent, trailer and RV) are located nearby at Boulder Beach Campground. Amenities include a common area restroom (flush toilets and sinks), picnic tables, fire pit, water spigots and limited shaded areas. There are no showers. Cell service is good in the area.

Boulder Beach Group Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Group campers have access to many recreation opportunities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating, fishing, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  The River Mountains Loop Trail passes right by the campground. This paved trail is more than 30 miles long and leads to the Historic Railroad Trail. Other nearby amenities include the Hemenway Harbor Fishing Pier and boat launch ramp. At the Las Vegas Boat Harbor or Lake Mead Marina you can rent a boat for a few hours or dine at the docks. Lake Mead Cruises is also nearby and offers cruises on the lake to the Hoover Dam and back.
