Crane Prairie Campground has 145 campsites spread out in multiple camping loops in a forested area on the east shore of Crane Prairie Reservoir. Many sites are next to the water with glimpses of South Sister and Mt. Bachelor on the horizon.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Campsites 91-96 are tent only and have nice views of the water. Many other campsites also have water views.

Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. There are also 2 boat ramps, boat trailer lots, a fish cleaning station, an amphitheater and firewood available to purchase from the camp host(s).  Camp roads and parking spurs are paved. Cell service is fair in the area. Showers and a small grocery store are also available at a nearby resort.

Crane Prairie Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Crane Prairie Reservoir offers a variety of recreation opportunities including fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, water sports and swimming. Visitors can also enjoy hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Cow Meadow, Cultus Corral Horse Camp, Quinn River, Rock Creek, North Twin, West South Twin and Sheep Bridge. Cultus Corral Horse Camp is also nearby for equestrian campers.

    We just got back from camping at crane prairie reservoir. The resort store had great people. The showers are disgusting and camp hosts are never seen. Loved the lake but the bugs are awful!!!
