Rock Creek (Deschutes National Forest) Overview

Rock Creek Campground has 32 campsites and is located next to beautiful Crane Prairie Reservoir in the Deschutes National Forest. Campsites are large and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (30 to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. There is also a boat ramp and fish cleaning station near the campground.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great with opportunities to see elk, deer, bald eagles, beaver, an occasional black bear and other forest creatures.

Other campgrounds in the area include Cow Meadow, Sheep Bridge, Cultus Lake, Little Cultus, Quinn River, South Twin Lake, North Twin Lake, West South Twin, as well as Gull Point and Reservoir – both next to the Wickiup Reservoir.
