Chisos Basin campground is located in Big Bend National Park and has 60 campsites surrounded on all sides by high, rocky cliffs. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (15 to 25 feet). Most sites are suitable for tent camping. Each site also has a table and food storage locker.  Some sites also have a shade ramada. Wood fires are not permitted in the Park.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and a dump station. Big Bend National Park also has a visitor center, camp store and lodge/restaurant. Cell service is fair in the area.

Chisos Basin – Area Recreation

Campers can find the trailheads for most of these trails in the main Chisos Basin area a mile or so further down the Basin road from the campground.  Other activities include biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
