Crackfoot Campground Dixie National Forest Utah

Crackfoot Overview

Crackfoot Campground (Pine Valley Recreation Area) has 23 campsites and is in a forested area near the Right Fork Santa Clara River.   There are 15 single-family campsites (up to 8 people) and 3 double sites (up to 16 people), and 5 walk to (tent only) sites.

The campground is generally open late May to early September. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Garbage disposal is not provided (please pack in / pack out trash). Cell service is poor in the area. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site also has a parking spur, table fire ring and grill.

Other campgrounds (camping loops) in Pine Valley Recreation Area include Dean Gardner, Ebenezer Bryce, Equestrian, Yellow Pine and Effie Beckstrom (Group). You might also like Mitt Moody Campground.

Area Recreation & Activities

Pine Valley is situated in the Pine Valley Mountains. A beautiful forest of Ponderosa pine and oak covers the area, offering partial shade. Mountain mahogany, juniper and sagebrush dot the landscape.  Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing.
