Deer Haven Overview
Deer Haven Campground has 10 group sites (reservable) and 10 individual/primitive sites that are located in a forest of aspen trees at about 8,900 feet in elevation.
The group camping area can accommodate up to 200 people. Tents, trailers and RVs (up to 28 feet) are okay in the group area. Trailers are not recommended in the individual site loop (no turnaround).
The campground is generally open mid May to mid September. Amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets. Trash collection is not provided (please pack in and out). There’s also an amphitheater and camp host that sells firewood. Cell service is good in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Cedar Canyon, Point Supreme (Cedar Breaks NM) and Panguitch Lake.
Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Nearby attractions include the breathtaking views of Cedar Breaks National Monument and the Virgin River Rim Trail that starts near the campground entrance.
