Granstaff Overview
Granstaff Campground (also known as Grandstaff) has 15 campsites along the banks of the Colorado River and in a spectacular canyon with sandstone cliffs. The campground has vault toilets, but no drinking water. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.
Grandstaff campground is first-come first-served and very popular due to its proximity to Moab. It is just upstream of Negro Bill Canyon and is very close to where the Porcupine Rim Trail, a popular route for mountain biking. Other outdoor recreation in the area includes rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, picnicking and OHVing. There’s also some nice wildlife viewing and the stars shine bright at night!
Other campgrounds in the area include Big Bend, Upper Big Bend, Hal Canyon, Goose Island, Drinks Canyon and Oak Grove.
