Machicomoco State Park Campground has 27 single-family campsites and is located next to Cedarbush Creek and near the York River. Three yurts are also available.

There are 13 campsites with water & electric hookups and 14 walk-to (tent-only) campsites. All sites and yurts are reservable. The hookup sites can accommodate trailers and RVs (up to 60 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Tents sites have a 20×20 foot tent pad. Each yurt has electricity, one queen-size bed, a twin-sized trundle pullout, dining table and 4 seats. Guests must bring sleeping bags or linens. The yurts also have a large wooden deck, picnic table and a fire ring with a cooking grate.

Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, picnic shelters, trash collection and a dump station. There is also a car-top boat launch pier with accessible boat entry structure, and a set of small floating docks on Timberneck Creek for daytime boat tie-ups and fishing.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
