Pioneer Park Campground Colville National Forest Washington

Pioneer Park Overview

Pioneer Park Campground has 17 campsites in a forested area next to the Pend Oreille River in northeast Washington.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 55 feet). Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. There are no hookups. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. There’s also a boat ramp next to the campground. Cell service is good in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Albeni Cove, Priest River and Riley Creek. You might also like Springy Point or Round Lake State Park.

Pioneer Park Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Pioneer is situated at the southern edge of Colville National Forest, near the Idaho border. The forest spans 1.1 million acres and encompasses the Okanogan, Kettle River and Selkirk Mountain Ranges.

The Pioneer Park Heritage Trail, a short trail that highlights the history of the Kalispel Tribe, is a favorite attraction in the campground. Twelve interpretive displays are dispersed along the 0.3-mile boardwalk trail, which boasts scenic views of the river below.
