Bakers Run Overview
Bakers Run Campground has 77 campsites (26 with electric hookups) and is located where Elk River enters next Sutton Lake in the beautiful West Virginia Mountains. It is also surrounded by the Elk River Wildlife Management Area and has the highest species diversity and richness of any river in the state.
The campground is generally open early May to late September. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. There’s also a playground, boat ramp and trailer parking lot. Cell service is not available in the area.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are 26 with electric hookups and 44 primitive (no hookup) sites. Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.
Bakers Run Campground – Area Recreation and Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Gerald Freeman, Bee Run, Bulltown Camp and Riffle Run.
