Connor Battlefield State Historic Site Campground has 13 campsites located next to the Tongue River and in the town of Ranchester, WY.  Large cottonwoods provide nice shade to most campsites.  All campsites are first-come, first-serve and the campground is open from mid April to October 31.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection.  A playground, horse shoe pits and historic features. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. All camp roads and parking spurs are dirt. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Cell service is good in the area.

Connor Battlefield Historic Site – Area Recreations / Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, kayaking, canoeing, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The campground also provides a base for short visits to surrounding historic sites and the Big Horn Mountains.

Located in Ranchester and just off I-90, Connor Battlefiled State Historic Site was the location of the Battle of Tongue River between the Army and the Arapahoe tribe.

You night also like Sibley Lake Campground, about 26 miles southwest off highway 14.
