Owen Creek Overview

Owen Creek campground has 8 single-family campsites and is located on the banks of the creek in the Bighorn Mountains. Campsites also have great views of the 13,000 foot craggy granite peaks. It’s also located along the Bighorn Scenic Byway (U.S. Highway 14). The area is forested with a mix of pine and aspen trees.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers or RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available in the area.

Owen Creek – Area Recreation

The Bighorn National Forest offers a wide variety of activities, including hiking, fishing, scenic driving and a number of historic sites. Off-road vehicle trails, scenic jeep roads, hiking, fishing and canoeing are available in the surrounding area. Nearby Sibley Lake is also open to non-motorized craft. Last but not least, there’s also an abundance of wildlife lives in the area.
